It hit me why in pageants contestants say, "World Peace" is their main hope!

We have heard about the bombing in Libya that took place this past weekend, but do we really know what is going on across the world when it comes to the possibility of war. I certainly do not know, or quite frankly want to know. It seems as if everyday on the news something is mentioned about the coming of war from anguish that is taking place between two or more countries, and if we are not one of the countries that are involved, then one of the countries that is involved is asking for our help physically or financially.
It breaks my heart to realize that no matter what we do or anyone else does, someone is never going to be happy. Why can we not reach an agreement and create peace among the world?
I read about a U.S. fighter jet crashing with U.S. soldiers on board in Libya this morning. It really hits home when our own people are involved in pain and suffering, but honestly, it is occuring EVERYDAY. When will we realize that tragedy is not only sweeping across our nation, but the world.
I cannot open a newspaper or turn on the television without something coming on about fighting in the middle east or bombing occuring in another country.... WHY CAN'T WE JUST GET ALONG? I know this is a dumb question, but I wish someone would take it literally and stand up and out for change to take place in the world.
It's becoming very real to me that the book of Revelations and the prophesy of Jesus coming back could in fact be in my generation. If you do not know what I'm taking about, pick up a bible and read the last chapter of the book- you will come to the realization as well. It's scary but very true.
Having said all this, the fact of the matter is that the world is in a tough spot, and we need to make some changes, and quickly. Not just in putting peace back in our worrld, but some Jevoah Shalom (God of Peace) in our lives, which is Jesus Christ.
 God Bless,
Lauren

  1. The world is in a bad spot. With all the different disasters in the world, it's hard to know that there is a place that has a peace of mind. Hopefully in the future the world will come together and learn to help one another.
